Delete your tourna.gg account
You can delete your tourna.gg account at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed and what is kept.
If you can sign in
Go to Account Settings and use Delete account at the bottom of the page. You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. It takes effect immediately and signs you out.
If you can't sign in
Email support@tourna.gg from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We'll confirm before doing anything, and complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and username
- Your avatar, banner, bio, showcase and social links
- Your per-game usernames and WBO ID
- Notification settings and any push subscriptions
- Your subscription record, badges and any organizer application
- Your login — the account can no longer be signed in to
What is kept, and why
Your match results stay attached to the events they were played in, shown under “Deleted account” rather than your name.
This isn't us keeping data we don't need. Tournament standings are calculated from the full record of who played whom — tiebreakers like Median-Buchholz and opponents' points depend on your opponents' results as much as your own. Removing your matches would silently change the final placings of everyone you played, in events that have already finished and may already have been published.
What remains carries no personal information: no name, no email, no handle, nothing linking those results back to you.
How long anything is kept
- Personal information is removed immediately when you delete from Account Settings. If you email us instead, within 30 days.
- Anonymised match results are kept indefinitely. They have no expiry, because they are part of the permanent record of tournaments that other people played in. They carry no name, email, handle or any other identifier.
- Routine encrypted backups may hold residual copies for a short time until they rotate out in the normal course. They are never used to restore a deleted account.
We keep nothing else. There is no grace period during which the account can be recovered — deletion is immediate and final.
Before you delete
Deletion is blocked while either of these is true, so you aren't stranding anyone else:
- You have linked child accounts. Unlink or delete them first — a child account under 13 must always have a parent attached.
- You are organizing a tournament that is open for registration or currently running. Finish or cancel it first.
