Terms of service

Last updated 30 July 2026

These are the rules for using tourna.gg. Using the service means you accept them. We've kept them short and readable rather than exhaustive and unreadable.

Your account

You need an account to run or play in events. Keep your password to yourself, give us an email address that works, and don't impersonate someone else.

If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create and consent to your account — see the privacy policy. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use tourna.gg with a parent's permission.

Running and playing events

Organisers are responsible for their own events: who may enter, how they are run, and resolving disputes between players. We provide the software; we do not referee your tournament.

Results are recorded as an append-only history. Corrections are new entries rather than edits, so an event always has a complete audit trail.

We never handle tournament money

tourna.gg does not process entry fees, buy-ins, prize money, or any payment between players and organisers. Never has, and it is a deliberate permanent limit rather than a missing feature. Any money for an event is arranged directly between you and the organiser, and is entirely their responsibility.

Tourna Pro

Tourna Pro is an optional paid subscription. It unlocks cosmetic and personal features only — themes, profile styling, your own statistics and data export.

It never confers a competitive advantage. Pairings, scoring, standings and seeding are identical for subscribers and non-subscribers. If we ever caught ourselves designing otherwise, that would be the bug.

Billing. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account settings; your features remain until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not pro-rate partial periods. Prices are shown before you pay, and we will give notice before changing them.

Payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record. Refund requests can go to Stripe or to us.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • harass, abuse or threaten other people;
  • falsify results, or manipulate standings or leaderboards;
  • attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
  • use someone else's account, or create accounts to evade a ban;
  • upload content you don't have the right to use, or that is unlawful.

We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things, and remove events built on falsified results.

Your content

What you upload — avatars, banners, bios — stays yours. You give us permission to display it within the service, which is the only way a profile picture can work. You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload.

Availability

We work to keep tourna.gg running, especially during live events, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. It is provided as-is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending things

You can stop using tourna.gg whenever you like and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Changes

These terms may change as the service does. Material changes will be announced in the app rather than slipped in silently, and the date at the top always reflects the current version.
